Dear Colleagues and Friends,‍

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the Next Tick and Tick-Borne Pathogens Conference, held in the inspiring and historic city of Lisbon, Portugal.‍

As the leading international forum dedicated to ticks and tick-borne pathogens, this conference brings together researchers, clinicians, veterinarians, ecologists, epidemiologists, and public health professionals from around the world. At a time of climate change, expanding vector ranges, emerging pathogens, and growing One Health challenges, research on ticks has never been more important. Our program will showcase the latest advances in tick biology, systematics, ecology, host–pathogen interactions, vector competence, surveillance, diagnostics, control strategies, and the prevention of tick-borne diseases in humans and animals.‍

Through plenary lectures, thematic sessions, workshops, and poster discussions, we aim to promote scientific excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful dialogue. We are committed to creating an inclusive and dynamic environment that encourages the exchange of ideas, supports early-career researchers, and strengthens global networks in this field.‍

Lisbon offers a truly special setting for our meeting. With its Atlantic light, mild climate, historic neighborhoods, and vibrant scientific community, the city provides a welcoming atmosphere for both learning and connection. Beyond the conference, you will have the opportunity to enjoy renowned Portuguese cuisine and a rich cultural heritage shaped by centuries of exploration and exchange.‍

We warmly invite you to join us in Lisbon for what promises to be a stimulating and memorable event. Together, let us advance the science of ticks and tick-borne diseases and strengthen our collective response to future challenges.

We look forward to welcoming you to Lisbon!‍
